Spring Electronics Drop Off & Repair Cafe

Start gathering your broken and unwanted electronic and other items to be recycled as you get ready to come on by to our May 24th Zero Waste extravaganza!

On Saturday, May 24th, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., BurlingtonGreen is teaming up with the Burlington Centre and Tech Genius Burlington Inc. to host this popular and convenient event to help you eliminate clutter from your homes, offices, schools and community centres. Another way that BurlingtonGreen is working to help Burlingtonians take action locally!

When dropping off your items, a donation of $5 is welcomed to support BurlingtonGreen’s important work with the community.

Located at the Burlington Centre (777 Guelph Line) parking lot (corner of Fairview & Guelph Line), crew members from Tech Genius Burlington Inc. will be on-site to accept broken/obsolete/non-functioning electronics. Follow our R2 certified recycling partners on their IG here.

A series of Terracycle Zero Waste bins courtesy of Burlington Centre will be stationed at the event to accept more unique waste items not currently accepted in Halton Region’s recycling program.

If you are organizing a mini collection with your workplace, club, friend group, faith or other community group, please contact Sue so we can prepare for your contribution.

Repair Cafe – advance registration required

Volunteers from the Burlington Repair Cafe will be on hand inside the Burlington Centre at the community hub room from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help community members with simple repairs to household items to give them a new lease on life.

PLEASE NOTE: advance registration is required for the Burlington Repair Cafe service. Please contact them directly in advance of the event here.

Minty Gold & Silver will be on hand inside the mall to assess and purchase your unwanted gold and silver for recycling, with the opportunity for you to donate a portion of your proceeds to support BurlingtonGreen’s community programming. Drop in or book a time here.

You can also drop off clean, freshly laundered clothing or accessories (hats, shoes, scarves, etc.) which will be used for BurlingtonGreen and Reconnect Burlington’s Clothing Swap on May 31st (any left-over items from the swap will be donated to the Compassion Society)

BurlingtonGreen graciously thanks the following for their support of this event:
