Rosemary grew up in Woodstock, Ontario, and moved to this area in 1979. She graduated from
Mohawk College with a 3-year Business Administration diploma with a focus in marketing.
Working with two insurance carriers in both Hamilton and Toronto for over a decade, she and
her partner branched out and grew their company Business Insurance Services into a trusted
Burlington-based brokerage firm.
In addition to serving on the BurlingtonGreen Board, Rosemary is a Tigertown Council member
for the Hamilton Tiger Cats and works to promote the team as a local ambassador in the
business community.
Today as a Principal member of Business Insurance Services, working with clients across North
America managing their corporate benefit programs, Rosemary sees the impact employers are
having by putting environmental focus into their profit and loss equation. This inspired a desire
to do more by joining the BurlingtonGreen Board. Advocating and educating for the right
choices to be made in our area, with the goal of improving our environmental impact, is her
priority.
Acknowledging – Honouring – Acting
In Burlington, our work with the community takes place within the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and
we recognize this land as being home and the traditional territory to Indigenous people since time
immemorial.
We honour all past and present First Nation, Métis and Inuit people, and we recognize their leadership in protecting and caring for Mother Earth. We join them in honouring and respecting the land, waters, plants, animals, four directions, and all of the wonderful elements of creation that exist.
BurlingtonGreen has much to learn from Indigenous People and we encourage everyone to continually learn from and about the Indigenous community where you live, and how we can each meaningfully honour the calls to action for Truth and Reconciliation.
