Join the Invasive Species Centre on September 22nd, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM for a virtual information session on Eurasian watermilfoil, one of Ontario’s most widespread aquatic invasive plants.

This session will bring together researchers, government agencies, and on-the-ground practitioners to discuss Eurasian watermilfoil management in Ontario and beyond. Participants will learn about the biology and impacts of EWM, its distribution across Ontario, relevant legislation and permitting considerations, emerging research, management case studies from Ontario and the United States, and biological control initiatives.

Whether you’re a lake association member, environmental professional, research, resource manager, or waterfront property owner, this session will provide valuable information on current and emerging approaches to EWM management.

The session will conclude with an extended Q&A period featuring presenters and representatives from government, academia, industry, and resource management organizations.
