Michelle (she/her) is deeply passionate about fostering meaningful connections between people and local ecosystems, encouraging environmental stewardship, and supporting community action for biodiversity and sustainability. She brings several years of experience delivering engaging environmental education programs, including workshops, guided hikes, school visits, and public outreach events. Michelle holds a Master of Science in environmental science from the University of Guelph where she worked on a community-based bat monitoring project that partnered with several First Nations along the Georgian Bay region of Ontario. Through her MSc, Michelle supported bat stewardship through ecological studies and land-based learning initiatives.
In her free time, Michelle is an avid birder, herper, and all-around nature enthusiast! She loves exploring her neighbourhood greenspaces with her dog, Charlie. You can often find the two of them removing invasive species and picking up garbage off trails.
