Sarah is a conservation biologist and environmental educator who strives to connect people in her community with local environmental experiences, fostering positive attitudes and building personal relationships with nature that can inspire meaningful action. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Queen’s University and a Master’s in Environmental Sciences from the University of Guelph, where she focused on freshwater conservation and how knowledge mobilization and science communication shape community engagement with conservation strategies. Her work has contributed to conservation and stewardship initiatives, designing and delivering environmental education programs, coordinating community events, and creating opportunities for people, especially youth, to engage with and better understand their local ecosystems.
Sarah is passionate about building relationships between people and the environment that inspire lasting stewardship and community-driven conservation action.
Outside of work, Sarah loves to coach and play sports, read, and spend time with her family, friends, and pets.
