The Role (Three roles available)

BG Conseil d'administration is a hands-on and welcoming team of volunteers working together to increase climate action throughout the community. Our current plan stratégique guides our journey with a strong focus on collective impact.

The time commitment is approximately 8-15 hours monthly, including Board meetings and committee work. Directors serve for a one-year renewable term, with a commitment to an initial 3-year contribution.

You’ll benefit from professional leadership development, cross-industry networking, and comprehensive governance experience.

En tant que membre du conseil d'administration de BG, vous participerez aux activités suivantes :

• Steer BG to help the community meet the critical challenges and opportunities of the climate and ecological crisis
• Contribute through your unique voice, professional and lived experience
• Aider à guider le plan stratégique à long terme, le budget annuel et les objectifs de performance
• Surveiller les performances financières et de collecte de fonds, les progrès par rapport aux buts/objectifs et le respect des politiques, y compris la surveillance et l'examen annuel du directeur exécutif.

Les membres du conseil sont censés :

• Assister aux réunions mensuelles du conseil et participer aux activités régulières du conseil
• Collaborer aux décisions visant à renforcer l'impact collectif et la sécurité financière et à faire avancer la mission de BG.
• Aider à maintenir des processus de groupe constructifs et l’excellence en matière de gouvernance
• Undertake additional special responsibilities, including serving on one Board committee and participating in BG events and activities, including networking and fundraising
