We’re going for a walk just because we want to, and you can come with us.
We’ll spend time at Hendrie Valley looking closely at the small details most people walk past, from tree bark and leaves to insects, soil, roots, and little pockets of habitat.
You do not need to know anything about nature to join. This walk is for young people ages 18–23 who want to get outside, meet people, and reconnect with the simple joy of being in nature.
What to expect
A relaxed walk with simple noticing prompts, a few cool nature moments, and space to move at an easy pace. We may stop to look more closely at an oak tree, small habitat features, and anything interesting we notice along the way.
What to bring / know
Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Bring water, curiosity, and your phone if you want to take photos. No experience needed.
