For Jack, joining BurlingtonGreen this summer as a Program Assistant marks an exciting new phase. They have been a part of the organization through the Youth Network since high school, and are looking forward to applying their passion and experience to this role. Jack is applying their knowledge to leading outreach events, working with volunteers and engaging youth in environmental activities and projects, as well as promoting BG’s various opportunities via social media posts and newsletters.
Since childhood, Jack’s passion for the environment has evolved into adulthood where they study at the University of Waterloo with a major in Environment, Resources and Sustainability. Jack has always been interested in community engagement through leading events in their student council, art club and organizing social events for their faculty.
Jack always chooses eco-conscious practices by biking, taking public transit, properly recycling and reducing the amount of waste they produce. Jack could not be happier to be working for BurlingtonGreen and collaborating with people with the same environmental focus and mindset that they have.
