Event Greening

This impactful program links volunteers to waste diversion projects in the City, resulting in meaningful, measurable benefits to improve the health of the environment. Since our agency's inception in 2008, we have provided our Event Greening services to a whopping 60 events, resulting in an estimated 68,700 kg (68 tonnes), of waste diverted from the landfill.

A BurlingtonGreen team member will meet in-person or via Skype with your planning team to align festival priorities with environmental considerations. During this process, we will work with your team to outline a plan of action and identify practical solutions to reduce your event's environmental impact (such as food & serving supply considerations, energy use, eco-friendly promotional options, transit ideas and more) and direct you to other relevant community partners/resources, to keep festival activities mindful of the local environment. Base Fee: $175.00.
