Event Greening

Event Greening

Since BurlingtonGreen was established in 2007, we have provided our Event Greening services for 85 events, resulting in an estimated 80,000+ kg (80+ tonnes) of waste diverted from the landfill.

To create a cleaner, greener, more environmentally responsible community, we all need to work together – citizens, businesses, schools, governments, and event planners.

Our popular Event Greening Service invites community volunteers to join us in helping event & festival planners go green. Learn more about how you can join our team of volunteers  here.

Further below you will also discover handy event greening resources and tips.

HIRE US TO HELP YOU GREEN YOUR NEXT EVENT!

To accommodate varying event budgets and needs, we are pleased to offer the following 3 levels of service for you to choose from. Collected fees support the important work of BurlingtonGreen to create a healthier, more environmentally responsible city for all of us.

A BurlingtonGreen team member will meet in-person or virtually with your planning team to align festival priorities with environmental considerations. During this process, we will work with your team to outline a plan of action and identify practical solutions to reduce your event’s environmental impact (such as food & serving supply considerations, energy use, eco-friendly promotional options, transit ideas and more) and direct you to other relevant community partners/resources, to keep festival activities mindful of the local environment.
Associated Cost: $175.00

In addition to the consultation, a BurlingtonGreen team member will attend your event to help set up waste stations and train your volunteers. We will also provide a brief “report card” after your event, summarizing your event greening results as well as identifying recommendations for further event greening efforts to apply for your future events.
Associated Cost: $350.00 base fee + charges tailored to size and scale of your event.

In addition to the pre-event consultation, we will also work to provide a team of BurlingtonGreen volunteers and an on-site supervisor to manage the waste and event greening efforts at your event from start to finish. We will provide a brief “report card” summarizing your event greening results as well as identifying recommendations for further event greening efforts to apply for your future events.
Associated Cost: $395.00 base fee + charges tailored to size and scale of your event.
