RBG Shoreline Clean Up

Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) will be hosting a garbage cleanup along the Cootes Paradise shoreline on October 19th, between 9 am and 12 pm. The clean up will take place at Princess Point, following the Desjardins Recreational Trail, between the Desjardins Canal and the Fishway. The event has already been registered through the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup website, under “Royal Botanical Gardens” (https://www.shorelinecleanup.ca/). If participants could sign up through this website, it would be appreciated. Volunteers can stay for as long or as little as they wish during the event.

RBG will be meeting participants at the Princess Point parking lot at 9am on Saturday. RBG staff will bring everything that will be needed including parking passes and waivers for the volunteers, gloves, garbage bags, buckets, and garbage picking tools. The only thing the volunteers need to bring is appropriate footwear, in this case rubber boots as the shoreline is along Cootes Paradise.
