Grow To Give Garden

The Grow to Give garden is located at the Central Park Community Garden. Volunteers help to plant, maintain and harvest seasonal organic fruits and veggies. Each harvest is delivered to Wellington Square United Church who provides a dinner Friday night for anyone who wishes to attend.

UPDATE: BurlingtonGreen is applying a safety first protocol canceling our staff and volunteer participation in community programming and events effective immediately. Implications of COVID19 are evolving quickly and it’s important we act proactively to protect the health and well- being of our team members as well as the audiences we serve. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please stay tuned and head over to our new COVID-19 response page for more tips and resources to take eco-action during the pandemic.

We have also made the difficult decision to cancel our popular Grow to Give community program for this season. Please stay tuned for gardening tips and resources to help you plant your own garden at home. We hope to welcome our gardeners back to the garden next year.

Check out this post on the Take Action Burlington blog titled “Grow your own fruit and veggies!”. The post is about food security and includes information about COVID food support, preparing to open Burlington’s community gardens, and links for those who want to start their own garden in the ground or in containers. Happy gardening!
