BurlingtonGreen's Grow to Give Program
Thanks to the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund and the Burlington Foundation, this year we are responding to COVID-19 by pivoting and expanding on our impactful program as we connect with more gardeners throughout Burlington, ensuring the fresh, healthy produce is safely delivered to local food bank agencies.
With everyone spending more time at home this spring and summer, gardening and growing food has quickly become a popular practice. With more people gardening, an abundance of food is expected, so we want to make it easy and convenient for gardeners to donate a portion of their fresh produce to local food banks.
All collected fresh produce will be donated to local food security agencies such as The Burlington Food Bank, The Compassion Society, The Salvation Army and Wellington Square United Church.
Fresh Produce will be accepted on the following days and locations:
