Volunteer Workshop: Upcycle Old Clothing

Join us on January 17th from 7pm-9pm for the Art Gallery of Burlington's "Free Fare Fair." The BurlingtonGreen team will show attendees how to make their very own no-sew bag! All you need to bring is an old t-shirt. We recommend one that you still love but maybe don't wear anymore because it doesn't quite fit right, or one with stains on the sleeves as these parts will be cut off (however, feel free to save the sleeves to make another craft - scrunchies!)

In addition to the BG Team, there will be other winter exhibitions with activities, food, refreshments and music. This is a full fair of free offerings including a performance from Atom Cianfarani featuring their Operate With Less handmade styrofroam shredding machine, a dance/aerobic work by Joaquin Wall, a sonic intervention by Adee Roberson, zine-making with Tara Bursey, upcycling plastic toys with the Tiny Toy Company, and beats from DJ Smooth Transitions and DJ Donna Lovejoy. Check out the Art Gallery of Burlington's website or Facebook page for more details.

New to BurlingtonGreen? This is also a great way to get to know us and learn more about how you can get involved.
