BURLINGTONGREEN EXPLORES OUR CONNECTIONS TO TREES WITH ‘CALL OF THE FOREST’

Burlington, ON – On Wednesday, October 17th, BurlingtonGreen, in partnership with Burlington Central Library and Halton Green Screens, will present ‘Call of the Forest’, the fourth of five acclaimed films in their 2018 Eco-Film Festival series.

‘Call of The Forest – The Forgotten Wisdom of Trees’ is a documentary featuring scientist and acclaimed author Diana Beresford-Kroeger. The film follows Diana as she investigates our profound biological and spiritual connection to forests. Her
global journey explores the science, folklore, and restoration challenges of this essential eco-system.

“Diana Beresford-Kroeger and I share a dream. We want people to see the forest and the trees, and the wildlife abounding in wild environments, in fine detail. We want native species to be valued and cultivated one by one for the special place they have
in the deep history of the land.” -E. O. Wilson, Harvard entomologist, conservationist and father of modern environmentalism

Space is limited and filling up quickly. Visit www.burlingtongreen.org to RSVP and view the film trailer.

When: Wednesday October 17, 2018
Time: Doors open at 6:00pm with film beginning at 6:30 pm - Event concludes at 8:30 pm
