BURLINGTONGREEN AND NUVO NETWORK TO HOST ALL CANDIDATES EVENT AND MAYORAL
DEBATE

Burlington, ON – On Wednesday, October 3 rd , 2018, BurlingtonGreen and Nuvo Network are teaming up to host “Our Voice 2018” - an All Candidates Event and Mayoral Debate that will include a public meet-and-greet with Ward candidates from across the City, followed by a moderated Mayoral debate with participation from all 4 candidates.

The Meet-and-Greet component of the event will take place from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the Mayoral debate to follow from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm. This is a free event open for participation and discussion on a wide-range of topics and issues that are important to the people of Burlington.

“We are pleased to be hosting this important event with Nuvo Network. BurlingtonGreen’s experience hosting the event for a previous municipal election, realized more than 300 attendees with positive feedback about how convenient it was to meet and ask questions of the many candidates at one location during a single evening. Our aim is to help the people of Burlington learn more about where candidates stand on various issues so they can make better, informed decisions when they vote”, said BurlingtonGreen Executive Director, Amy Schnurr

The dual–component event will take place at Nuvo Network (formerly Crossroads Centre) located at 1295 North Service Road, Burlington. Space for the highly anticipated event is limited, with seating available on a first-come-first-serve basis. BurlingtonGreen hosts green events encouraging attendees to carpool, use public transit, cycle, walk to and from the event.

This event is bullfrogpowered with 100% green electricity. This means that Bullfrog Power's generators put 100% green power into the grid to match the amount of conventional electricity the event uses, displacing energy from polluting sources. Across Canada, Bullfrog's green electricity comes from a blend of wind and low-impact hydro power sourced from new Canadian renewable energy facilities.
