May 22nd - Eco Film Fest Screening & Hands-On Workshop!

Watch, Learn, Take Action! Our popular Eco-Film Festival events provide a valuable opportunity for audience members to learn about global environmental issues by viewing award-winning documentaries. Each film is followed by an engaging audience discussion.

Presented with the Burlington Public Library and generously sponsored by Nuvo Network and Cogeco, each event includes a film presentation, a free eco-prize raffle, complimentary refreshments provided by Nature's Emporium, and an audience discussion or interactive activity on how global issues can be tackled locally.

  • All films are shown at Central Library (2331 New Street, Burlington)
  • Doors open at 6:00 pm with the film presentation beginning at 6:30 pm
  • Our events are green, so we invite guests to walk, bike, carpool, or use public transit when possible, and we encourage guests to bring a reusable mug for complimentary refreshments
  • Admission is FREE. Donations to support event costs and our impactful organization can be kindly contributed anytime online here

WAR ON WASTE







After the film, we'll feature a hands-on, engaging workshop hosted by the

BG Youth Network! 



Learn about the two young girls who decided that Bali did not need plastic bags and how they succeeded in launching “Bye Bye Plastic Bags”.

We’ll also check out a segment of War On Waste (see trailer above) about the importance of separating our waste & the cost that implications of improper separation before getting into an informative workshop on proper waste reduction & separation!
