BGYN Film Screening + Beach Clean-up

Join us on Monday, March 27th at 4:30pm for a BGYN special event that you won’t want to miss! After hearing from the incredible Rochelle Byrne at our March 13th BGYN meeting, we are going to be screening her short documentary, “Shoreline: The Paddle Against Plastic” followed by a beach clean-up.

We will be meeting at BurlingtonGreen’s Eco-Hub located at 1094 Lakeshore rd. and after being inspired by this beautiful mini-doc, we will all have the chance to take action by cleaning up the local shoreline.

As all of the snow continues to melt, it becomes more obvious each day that Burlington Beach is in need of some love. Help clean up litter along the shoreline, learn more about micro-plastics and use some provided materials to help remove them from the sand.

This event is open to youth ages 14-24 and can be eligible for volunteer hours.

Please note that a completed volunteer waiver MUST be submitted in advance in order to attend this event.

BurlingtonGreen has much to learn from Indigenous People and we encourage everyone to continually learn from and about the Indigenous community where you live, and how we can each meaningfully honour the calls to action for Truth and Reconciliation.
