Garlic Mustard Removal & Pollinator Seed Ball Making

May 27, 2023
End Date: May 28, 2023

Join us on the weekend of May 27/28 at 11:00 am for a hands-on and informative invasive species removal workshop, PLUS pollinator seed ball making from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm!

🌿

We will be removing the garlic mustard plant from areas at Beachway Park.

Garlic mustard is becoming a serious threat to biodiversity in Ontario. Our workshops will teach you how to identify and safely remove this plant. Gloves and bags will be provided.

Dress for the weather and for health and safety. Wear closed-toe shoes or boots, tuck your pants in your socks for tick prevention. Wear a hat, sunscreen and bring along a refreshment in a reusable bottle.

Please meet us at the Eco-Hub (1094 Lakeshore Road) to participate.

For those interested in making a few pollinator seed balls to take home to ‘plant’ to help improve local biodiversity – please pop by our outreach table anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 pm on Saturday or Sunday.

Hope to see you there!

Together we make a difference.
