Are you interested in connecting with other young people and learning more about our local ecosystems? Join the BurlingtonGreen Youth Network and Elliott Groen for an educational, guided nature walk at Burlington’s Beachway Park as part of our bi-weekly BGYN meetings.
This upcoming BGYN meeting will highlight the unique features of Halton’s only dune ecosystem which stretches 7km long and is home to 236 species of plants and used by 3 species at risk. We will be expanding on what we learned in our first guided hike with Elliott and learn more about local tree identification, how to identify and respectfully harvest seeds and some methods of relaxing and connecting with Nature.
Email us if you are interested in attending. This event can be eligible for volunteer hours. Ask us how!
