es el umbral m\u00ednimo para un estado ecol\u00f3gico saludable.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>El dosel de \u00e1rboles urbanos en Burlington est\u00e1 sentado en un<strong> bajo 15-17%.<\/strong> A este ritmo, se puede sustentar menos de la mitad de la riqueza potencial de especies y nuestros ecosistemas acu\u00e1ticos y terrestres se consideran marginalmente saludables.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Al mantener nuestros \u00e1rboles existentes y hacer crecer el dosel del bosque urbano podemos:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disminuir la contaminaci\u00f3n del aire a trav\u00e9s de la filtraci\u00f3n y la generaci\u00f3n de ox\u00edgeno.<\/li>\n<li>Mejore la cubierta de sombra, las barreras contra el viento y el control de la temperatura durante todo el a\u00f1o (tambi\u00e9n reduce los costos de energ\u00eda)<\/li>\n<li>Ayudar con la gesti\u00f3n de aguas pluviales en entornos construidos<\/li>\n<li>Proporcionar h\u00e1bitat a las aves y otros animales salvajes.<\/li>\n<li>Disminuir la escorrent\u00eda de agua, la degradaci\u00f3n de los arroyos y las inundaciones.<\/li>\n<li>Aumentar el valor de los vecindarios, la est\u00e9tica y el atractivo exterior
