Ken moved to Burlington as a child with his family in 1973 and has called it home ever since. After graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics in 1989, Ken and his wife chose to start and raise their family in Burlington, having recognized its community strength firsthand. They currently live in Millcroft, with their three daughters.
Combining his unique finance and tech backgrounds, Ken’s career has led him to be part of leadership teams within the non-profit, manufacturing, and startup sectors. He has also used those skills in volunteer roles as an executive team member for a men’s sports league, a baseball coach, and a therapy dog handler.
Ken’s passion for the environment began with regular hikes with his rescue dog on the Bruce Trail. This time spent in nature brought about the realization that the “status quo” is not going to preserve these local resources, nor leave a habitable planet for his daughters or future generations.
Ken brings his decades of experience, and passion for challenging the status quo to the BurlingtonGreen Board.
