Brian was born in Hamilton, but grew up in Burlington, attending Burlington Central High School. He has an M.A. in History from the University of New Brunswick, and had a successful career as a Financial Planner in Ontario for 39 years, retiring at the end of 2017. Brian and his wife Joanne have two adult daughters and three granddaughters. Brian and Joanne live in Headon Forest along with Jasper the Wonder Pup.
Brian was previously actively involved on the Board of the Burlington Sound of Music Festival for over a decade. Brian has become increasingly concerned about the kind of planet we will leave to our children and grandchildren and believes that the motto of “Think Globally, Act Locally” offers every Canadian the opportunity to help address the many issues that currently imperil the planet.
