If you are interested in working with others to make a difference in helping to make Burlington a healthier, more sustainable city, then BurlingtonGreen has opportunities for you!

It can be rewarding, fun and a great learning experience. Volunteers may contribute occasionally at our events, others more regularly and we even have opportunities where you can contribute from your home supporting research needs.

Website Support:

• time committment - regular
• great opportunity to support BurlingtonGreen from your home computer!
• experience with website software (i.e.Joomla Content Management System) see: http://www.joomla.org/about-joomla.html
• assist webmaster with regular email updates, enhancements, ongoing site maintenance needs

Advocacy support:

• time committment - periodic or regular
• research local environmental issues
• draft letters, presentations, bulletins to supports & to elected officials
• attend relevant city/regional meetings
• serve as BG represenative/spokesperson at meetings/events (optional)

Membership/Public Relations:

• time committment- periodic or regular 
• "staff" BG booth at various Halton events
• assist with the membership drive program (membership outreach, program improvements etc)

Communications/Media Relations assistance:

• time committment - periodic or regular
• writing & editing of press releases, articles, newsletters
• public speaking engagements (optional)

Outreach/event assistance:

•  time committment - periodic or regular
•  assist with coordination of selected BG events such as our annual Eco-awards celebration,Eco-film festival and more
•  assit with coordination and implementation of various outreach services and programs (chidlren's workshops, youth conference etc)
