With support provided by the Government of Ontario, BurlingtonGreen is pleased to introduce an exciting new opportunity for kids throughout Burlington to take action to help the environment locally!

The program is FREE to any organized group of children ages 4-12 and consists of a fun-filled three-step, interactive learning experience.

The children will:

1.Participate in an engaging team activity to learn about climate change and select actions that will help to lessen our individual impacts on the environment

  1. 2.Create
their own pledge button to reflect their commitment to help the planet and...

3.Take Action by participating in our Eco-challenge!

Completed challenges will result in our team leaders returning to the locations to measure their success (tally GHG reductions), deliver challenge certificates and participate in a tree planting project as an important way to celebrate their eco-actions. All workshop participants will also be invited to participate in a city wide clean-up in April, 2011 as a way of inspiring Burlington youth to lead the way in keeping our communities clean.

Registration for this program will begin at the end of August 2010 with program delivery starting in September.  If you would like to "get a jump" on receiving Go Green program information, please complete the comment form below to join our mailing list and we will be sure to let you know when registration is open.
