The Halton Region would like to invite you to a talk/discussion on “The Fundamental Laws of Road Congestion” with University of Toronto Professors, Gilles Duranton and Matthew A. Turner. - When: from 2:00 pm to 4:30pm on Thursday, January 26th, 2011 - Where: Room Scotch Block-Merton, Halton Regional Centre1151 Bronte Road, Oakville Drs. Duranton and Turner have recently completed a large study on road congestion by compiling 20 years of evidence in the USA (the paper can be accessed here). They have accepted our invitation to share their findings with Municipal and Regional Staff Members in Halton Region. The agenda will be: - Introduction (15 minutes) - Road congestion: Experience (presentation/talk) (30 – 45 minutes) - Questions and Answers (30 – 45 minutes) The Halton Region Health Department in coordination with Transportation Services are inviting you to attend this session and participate in the discussion.
