This April Dr. Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots organization will be hosting “ 6 Degrees to Gombe: Celebrating Our Champions” featuring Dr. Jane Goodall and YOU. The event celebrates the work of our dedicated Roots & Shoots members who continue to inspire and take part in extraordinary projects in their communities for people, animals, and the environment. This event will give our senior “Roots & Shoots Champion” groups, including yours, the opportunity to share their ideas, inspiration, and projects with Jane and our new Roots & Shoots recruits! The event will take place between 1:00pm and 3:30pm (Friday, April 1st, 2011) in the Earth Science Building foyer where senior Roots & Shoots Champion Groups are invited to bring display materials, campaign handouts and giveaways to spread awareness about the projects they are working on (6 Degrees to Gombe, Planet Releaf, Project Blue) and issues in their communities.
If your group is interested in presenting or sharing with a display, please submit a brief request to Abner Lico at
