. This ubiquitous topic launches the 2011 Event Series of Miltongreen. Throughout the year this citizen’s group will be hosting diverse events on interesting topics, through sponsorship from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The goals for Miltongreen’s OTF Project include education events, public outreach, and building its own capacity to facilitate community projects, citizens’ engagement and website resources. The mission of Miltongreen (since 2007) is to work towards long-term, sustainable solutions to protect and preserve the natural environment of Milton. FACTS: Diverting your waste from landfill to recycling and composting will result in improved air quality, reduced greenhouse gas emissions and the creation of useful products to conserve natural resources.
