Action Alert: On Wed. Jan. 26 express your opinion if artificial grass for front lawns should be allowed in Burlington. The City is holding an open house from 6:30 -8:30pm in room 247 at City Hall in response to property owners who are interested in having a zoning bylaw changed that would allow artificial grass installations in residential front yards. In the past year BurlingtonGreen has already heard from citizens with concerns about artificial turf on city park playing fields (specifically New City Park being developed on the crest of the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve). Now is your opportunity to communicate directly with city planners about the pros and cons of artificial grass and where it should and should not be allowed.
