The Green Connection 2010
Fall's premiere green, networking party

Tickets: $55.00 (GEO offer 2 tickets for $60.00)

Join some of the Province’s most interesting entrepreneurs, sustainability advocates and personalities in the green space today and chat with some of Ontario’s finest chefs and food and beverage artisans, who work enthusiastically to bring you local, fresh fare all year round.

Enjoy mouth watering canapés and hors d'oeuvres and unlimited tastings of an intriguing variety of Ontario beer, wine, cider, juices and smoothies. All this is brought to you by celebrity chefs Brad Long, the dynamic co-host of The Food Network's Restaurant Makeover, Michael Steh of red’s bistro and veteran chef Ruth Klahsen, whose cuisine is well-known to patrons of Stratford's stellar restaurants and founder of Monforte Dairy. They are joined by Vert Catering who are forging a special place as leaders in sustainability in the catering industry, Tipicular Fixin’s, who fashion cutting edge, contemporary cocktails, using only locally grown seasonal produce, Stouffville’s Applewood Farm Winery, famous for their prized fruit wines and mead and Southbrook, Ontario’s first biodynamic vineyard.

Top that with award winning and beautifully crafted Ninutik Maple Sugar creations, Chocosol's unforgettable drinking chocolate created with indigenous cacao growers from Mexico Profundo, The Rockit 88 Jazz band who will play throughout the evening and a raffle with some amazing prizes.

The Green Connection 2010 is staged in partnership with Green Enterprise Ontario. GEO envisions a sustainable society that balances the pillars of people (social equity), the planet (a healthy environment) and the economy (long-term prosperity), and commits to meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

The Green Connection 2010 celebrates the opening of the second annual Community Power Conference staged by the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA). OSEA envisions an environment where every Ontarian is a conserver and generator of sustainable energy and its mission is to serve the Community Power sector including households, farms, First Nations, co-operatives and collaborative businesses, local distribution companies, municipalities, other institutions and non-Community Power partners: through advocacy, public outreach and capacity building.
