A record number of participants (more than 5000!) signed up this year to join in the collective effort to keep Burlington beautiful.
 
 
 HOW MUCH LITTER & RECYCLABLES WERE COLLECTED?
 
2800 kg’s of garbage
  • 25 tires
  • 85 kg of metal was recycled
  • 200 kg recyclables
  • 2 Green totes with compostable paper coffee cups & dirty newspapers
  • 12 bags of yard waste
  • plus....."More recyclables & GreenCart waste was also diverted from the landfill as school Clean Ups had their recyclables/GreenCart waste picked up with their regular school collection as did some smaller groups who put out collected green/blue waste at their curbs."
Way to go Burlington Clean-up Green-up participants & THANK YOU City of Burlington waste collection staff and BurlingtonGreen volunteers!
