LET US APPLAUD YOUR EFFORTS ... Celebrating local achievements to support a better environment are important to BurlingtonGreen.  We recognize that these successes help inspire others to take action!

To support this belief, BurlingtonGreen introduced the city's first Eco-Award Celebration where we honoured the valued work of Burlington individuals, groups, youth and businesses who are all taking action to help the environment locally. Singer, song writer and Juno award winning Sarah Harmer inspired the audience with both her music and her keynote presentation about the important efforts she and her team at PERL (Protecting Escarpment Rural Lands) are doing to protect the beautiful Mount Nemo lands on the Niagara Escarpment.

Our next Eco-Award Celebration event is tentatively planned for October, 2012.
