Achieve greater diversion and deliver environmental and economic outcomes; Make producers responsible for their products and packaging, thereby promoting more environmentally friendly products, more investment in innovative technologies, and more waste diversion services; Provide the public with more opportunities to recycle more materials; and Place the province among leading jurisdictions in waste diversion. The Minister's Report is intended to facilitate public and stakeholder dialogue on the Ministry's proposed waste diversion framework. The Ministry encourages all interested parties to reflect on their experiences and provide feedback on the proposal. Your feedback is critical to establishing a clear and effective framework for waste diversion in Ontario. This proposal has been posted for a 75 day public review and comment period starting October 28, 2009.
