- Transportation to and from the event is the responsibility of each school. Supply coverage is available for HDSB teachers by contacting Mr. Ron Ballentine with the HDSB.
- Field trip permission waiver forms including photo release approvals is the responsibility of each school.
- Full day event participants may spend some time outdoors during the morning thus students should be reminded to dress for the weather.
Due to the high demand for this event, NO cancellations will be permitted. You are responsible for attending the event with the number of spaces you register for.
With over 100 schools in Halton, and limited space at the venue, to be fair to all there is a limit to the number of teachers and students that can register to attend. Each school may register ONE teacher to attend.
*Suggestion: you may want to consider offering a challenge to students asking those interested in attending to submit a brief essay on why they believe they should be registered to attend the event. Alternatively, you could offer a draw where students names are picked randomly.
Who is the greenest school in Halton?
10 Halton schools have been selected to participate in the Challenge based on submitted applications.
The winning school will be announced by Dr. Jane Goodall with school representatives invited on stage to receive a special certificate signed by Dr. Goodall!

More Good news....we are thrilled to announce that Dr. Jane Goodall will also be speaking again in the evening of September 19th! She will be the keynote at BurlingtonGreen's Eco-Awards Celebration at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre. Learn more HERE.
The winners will be announced at the evening Eco-Awards Celebration where Dr. Jane Goodall will be making the presentations !
